*Attorney Antonio Moore looks closer at the Cardi B endorsing of Kamala Harris in 2024. And Donald Trump used Lil Wayne‘s endorsement for outreach in 2020. Moore makes a larger argument politicians disrespect BLACK VOTERS by targeting these Black celebrities. Moore argues Black celebrity serves as a decadent veil covering up Black politics and the Black community.
In other news from the campaign trail … On the last day of the presidential campaign, Vice President Harris sought to motivate voters in Pennsylvania. “We need everyone in Pennsylvania to vote,” she stressed, highlighting the essential role they would play in the election.
Harris kicked off her day in Scranton, participating in the Harris-Walz campaign canvass with eager volunteers. She then moved to Allentown, urging attendees to “remind people the power they have” to encourage voting among friends and family. “We are all in this together,” she proclaimed. Reflecting on Allentown’s transformation from a steel industry stronghold to a majority-minority city, she addressed an insult from a Trump rally, declaring: “I stand here proud of my commitment to Puerto Rico and her people. I will be a president for all Americans.”
In Reading, she stopped by a Puerto Rican restaurant with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez before concluding her day with a late-night rally at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump reiterated unfounded allegations of election fraud, labeling the Democratic Party a “vicious machine.”
During a rally in Pittsburgh, he claimed that the party could manipulate elections through “bad ideas” and insisted that victory could only be achieved through conventional means.
“This is that big, powerful, vicious party,” he stated. “There’s really only one way to win.” Trump emphasized the need to win “the old-fashioned way” while also calling for reforms to prevent what he perceives as corruption, arguing that states act as “agents” of the federal government in the electoral process.
He expressed frustration over the time it takes to count votes, questioning how states can operate efficiently under federal direction.
Trump, who often makes claims about the 2020 election being fraudulent, deemed it “the worst thing that ever happened to the country,” further fueling his narrative of a compromised electoral system.
