*Cam’ron criticized movie studios for repeatedly remaking films and for older actors, like Sylvester Stallone and Denzel Washington, taking on action roles that may no longer suit them.
Cam and Mase discussed this issue on the latest episode of “It Is What It Is,” Complex reports.
“I think that n***as is lacking in being creative and not only lacking being creative, you have to think about who’s eating off this stuff,” said Cam’ron.
“If the owner of, let’s just use Ghostbusters, for example, says ‘We don’t want Bill Murray, let’s get some young Ghostbusters,’ the original n***a most likely is going to get paid again because if he didn’t sell the name of the movie or still has the rights to the movie n***a said I’ma eat again,” he continued.
“I’m not watching Rocky be Rambo at 78 years old, man. I’m not watching that; I refuse to watch Rocky be Rambo. Did I see the new Equalizer? I love Denzel Washington as an actor, but I’m not watching him do karate at 71 years old and all that. I’m not doing it,” Cam added.

“I love him as a great actor but when n***as start doing karate and they 70, I can’t believe the movie. I can’t fuck with Denzel being The Equalizer at 70. Rocky 19? Nah, I’m not watching it, b.”
In related news, Washington said in a new interview that he’s not interested in taking on new projects if he’s not inspired by the filmmaker.
Speaking to Empire magazine, the Oscar winner opened up about his reason for joining Ridley Scott‘s upcoming “Gladiator 2.”
“There are very few films left for me to make that I’m interested in, and I have to be inspired by the filmmaker, and I was tremendously inspired by Ridley,” Washington said. “We had a great go-round the first go-round [on American Gangster], and here we are.”
Washington described Scott as “engaged” and “excited about life and his next film.”
“He’s an inspiration,” he said. “We should all want to feel like that at 86.”
“Gladiator 2” is set to hit theaters Nov. 22.
