*Fans of the new Netflix comedy series “Survival of the Thickest” are gushing about the new binge-worthy show.

The series premiered globally on July 13 and is inspired by comedian Michelle Buteau’s memoir. The series stars Beaumont, who is “proudly thick, newly single and ready to take over the world as an aspiring stylist one fitting at a time. New York ain’t ready but you are,” per the synopsis. The cast also includes recurring guest stars Tasha Smith, Taylor Selé, Garcelle Beauvais, Marouane Zotti, Liza Treyger, Anissa Felix, Anthony Michael Lopez, Monnae Michaell, Usama Siddiquee, Allan K. Washington, Becca Blackwell, Peppermint, J. Riley Jr., Anna George, Michelle Visage, Donovan Louis Bazemore, and Ambre Anderson.

The show attempts to portray a woman in her thirties having a coming-of-age moment.

“For some reason, in movies and TV shows, once you turn 25 or something, you’re supposed to have it all figured out. That’s not so,” Buteau previously stated, The Huffington Post reports. “Our physical and emotional evolution is supposed to be a lifelong journey, truly. And the idea that we should get to a stable place (in our 20s, at that) and stop growing there feels both unrealistic and stifling.

“You could be in your 40s, 50s, 60s, whatever, and still try to figure out what you want to do. You don’t have to hang out with that friend if they don’t fulfill you,” she said. “You don’t have to be with that person if you’re not having an orgasm. You don’t have to be in that job if you don’t even like what you’re doing.”

The eight, 30-minute episodes are now streaming on Netflix. Watch the trailer above and check out some social media reactions to “Survival of the Thickest” below:
