*In an exclusive interview with EUR, Lateasha Lunceford, known as “Sweet Tea,” the newest addition to Bravo’s “Married to Medicine,” opens up about her unexpected journey into reality television, overcoming wedding woes and addressing the gold digger accusations.

Lateasha, a 32-year-old Air Force veteran and pharmacy tech, entered the show with confidence but acknowledged feeling a bit intimidated by the strong and opinionated cast. Despite this, her military background and experience working with doctors helped her navigate the dynamics.

“I can tell that. They have been doing this longer than I have. At the same time, I was a medic in the Air Force and a pharmacy tech. I’ve worked with a lot of different doctors in my squadron. That part I wasn’t intimidated by,” Lateasha shared.

When asked if she had watched prior seasons, she admitted to peeking in occasionally but not consistently.

The public scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show has been a struggle for Lateasha, especially facing accusations of being a gold digger. She spoke about her accomplishments, highlighting her military service, education, and successful career.

“It’s funny they call me a gold digger now with my background. I do well for myself. I think it’s just for reality TV because I am one of many, well, not many women that I’m in the top 10%. That makes six figures already. So I think that it was just good for TV. I know who I am. I served in that serve my country. I went to school, have a bachelor’s degree, and worked in the intelligence community for a while, like; it’s not like I’ve been sitting on my ass and waiting for a man to come get me. But then, when did he come get me? Yes. And I’m good. I’m good now. But I am also still working, you know, still working while hanging out with this group.”

Lateasha delved into her family’s reaction to her relationship, navigating the reality TV world with a new marriage, and addressed the drama with fellow cast member Dr. Heavenly Kimes. Lateasha also revealed her disappointment with Dr. Heavenly, stating, “I think she’s nasty. I think she’s vile. And I think that karma will come knocking at her door.”

The newbie hoped her story would resonate with viewers and inspire women to pursue their goals, regardless of judgment. “I hope I can reach those types of women,” she said, encouraging others to defy societal expectations. As “Married to Medicine” continues, Lateasha teased a more assertive side, warning, “I am a Gemini, and I’m not always sweet, and I’m not a pushover. A person can only take so much.”

Fans can expect more twists and turns in Lateasha’s journey as the season unfolds.

“Married to Medicine” airs Sundays at 9 PM on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
