*British rapper Fredo has the Internet puzzled over his belief that men who practice basic hygiene are soft and “too pampered.”

In a rant on Instagram, Fredo took issue with men who brush their teeth twice a day, and with dudes who use a clipper to cut their toenails.

“You bend [the nail], find a weak point, and you rip it off. It’s easy,” Fredo explained.

As for the brushing of teeth, “I only brush my teeth in the morning,” he shared.

Fredo, born Marvin William Bailey in Kilburn, London, is of English and Moroccan descent on his mom’s side and Barbadian descent through his dad. He had a UK number 1 single in 2018 with fellow rapper Dave called “Funky Friday”

Fredo released his first track “They Ain’t 100” in March 2016, then went to prison three weeks later on a stabbing-related charge he later beat. The single gained popularity while he was locked up. Fredo spent time behind bars for another stabbing-related charge in 2017, but those charges were also dropped before reaching court. He has also been the victim of a stabbing attack, having been stabbed four times on one occasion on his local street.

Following his second stint in prison, Fredo released two mixtapes, “Get Rich or Get Recalled” in 2017, and in 2018 “Tables Turn,” which reached the Top 10 in the album charts. He was also featured on tracks by Kojo Funds and Young T & Bugsey, as well as on Dave’s 2018 hit single “Funky Friday.”

Fredo’s first full-length album, “Third Avenue,” was released in 2019 on RCA’s Since ’93 imprint. In January 2021, he released his sophomore album “Money Can’t Buy Happiness,” which contained features from Pop Smoke, Dave, Summer Walker and Young Adz. His third album, “Independence Day,” dropped in August 2021.
