*Democratic mayoral hopeful Sheila Dixon was attacked live on air during an interview Wednesday when a person hurled objects at her.
Fox45 anchor Patrice Sanders ended the conversation with Dixon as the unidentified male off-camera harassed and bullied the Baltimore politician while being interviewed via video, The Baltimore Banner reports.
According to Newsweek, Dixon, who served as mayor of Baltimore from 2007 to 2010, was promoting a public safety town hall when she was asked about crime in the city.
“So three things. One people don’t feel safe, people are afraid,” Dixon explained. “Carjackings, theft, stealing cars, and people want to see the presence of officers in their community engaged with them, walking the beat, talking to them, getting to know the residents and that’s not happening.”
A piece of clothing suddenly flew by Dixon’s face, but she continued: “Yesterday I saw police officers that were in an area, but they were in their cars, not doing what they need to do.”

A second piece of clothing hit Dixon, causing her camera to drop before she could raise it again.
Dixon reportedly had a cold during the interview, so she spoke with a croaky voice as she carefully watched the heckler off-camera.
“But we can hold them accountable,” she said about criminals in the city, adding, “we can do something and we need to, and the police officers have a responsibility to do things.”
The disruptive male can be heard loudly talking as another piece of clothing flies past Dixon, prompting the WBFF Fox45 anchor to end the interview.
Sanders said, “We hear that you’re fighting though this, um, so we’re going to let you conserve your voice and we’ll see you tonight.”
