*A DoorDash driver was fired recently after cursing out a customer for tipping $5 on a $20 pizza, which actually amounts to a higher-than-average 25% gratuity.
The June 30 exchange between the driver, identified only as “Dasher Corey,” was caught on Texas woman Lacey Purciful’s doorbell camera and posted on her TikTok page. It shows the driver handing her the pizza, then saying sarcastically, “I just wanna say it’s a nice house for a 5 dollar tip.”
“You’re welcome,” Lacey shouted as he walked away.
“F*ck you,” he said back.
In the post, Purciful captioned the video, “So how much should I be tipping for a $20 pie??”

As of Saturday, the TikTok has racked up over 26.4 million views. The driver was fired Monday after the clip went viral.
“Respectfully asking for a tip is acceptable but abusing or harassing someone is never acceptable,” DoorDash said in a statement. “We’ve removed this Dasher from our platform and reached out to the customer.”
According to the Daily Mail, Purciful said she was initially unable to rescind her tip, but after her husband complained to DoorDash, they were sent a $5 voucher as a reimbursement. The Daily Mail reported that DoorDash then opened an investigation, fired Corey and upped the voucher another $75.
Perciful, a disabled military veteran and mother of two, has been ordering DoorDash steadily since March, when she was in a head-on collision with an alleged drunk driver, and suffered serious injuries to her spinal cord.
