Angelic, Kah’Ni Rich, Kim Hewitt and Tiarah Williams Win Big at the ‘ULMII’ Entertainment Conference’s National Competition

*The winners of the recent Los Angeles “Uplifting Minds II” Entertainment Conference’s National Talent Competition were recently announced. Winners in the highly competitive talent competition include New York Hip-Hop singer/songwriter/rapper Angelic featuring Asim with 1st place, New Jersey’s actress Kah’Ni Rich won 2nd place, and tying for 3rd place was Philippines-based singer Kim Hewitt and Washington, DC dancer Tiarah William.

Celebrating 24 years the “ULMII” Entertainment Conference was held virtually and hosted by Women’s Basketball Commentator/Motivational Speaker Vera Jones (ESPN, Fox Sports) and Actress/Dancer/Choreographer Raquel Belt (Love & Drugs).

The ULMII panelists who judged the competition included Dr. Lee Bailey (EURweb.com publisher); Connie Phieff (CEO of Talent Concierge Artists Agency); Consul Paul Gardner, II (Founder TheGardnerLawGroup.com); Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs (artist manager/Anthony-Michael.com); Draper Wynston (President of Vanguard Affinity Group); Steven Littles (Actor, Producer, Director), Gregory Goodloe (#1 Billboard Guitarist); Dr. Winston Grier (Christian Radio Host/Pastor/Author); Anthony Michael Hobbs (Film Festival founder/Actor/Filmmaker), and Nadyiah Kareem (Superstar Entertainment A&R).

The “ULMII” Entertainment Conference allowed attendees to ask questions of the panelists who provided expert advice on upcoming performances of talent. After the panel discussion the Professional Talent Showcase was held, sponsored by W&W PR, PopMi Music, MAKO Girls Entertainment, and Great Scott PR.

Performances in the showcase included John Ellison (“She’s Some Kinda Wonderful”/PopMi Music), Sheila Wanamaker (“Black Butterfly”/W&W PR), and the MAKO Girls (“Ain’t Thinking ‘Bout You”). Rapper Lil Hyste (Empire Records) and Alternative R&B singer/songwriter Ace (Aced It Designs), winners of the 2023 Baltimore ULMII, performed as special guests throughout the conference.

Aside from the “ULMII Best Artist Award,” the winners can take advantage of over $19,000 in products, services, and cash. The free products and services include contract consultation from Baltimore Consul Paul Gardner, II (TheGardnerLawGroup.com); a music business legal package from Hollywood attorney Richard B. Jefferson (LawyersRock.com); a vocal or acting coaching session from New Jersey Performing Arts Specialist Nadiyah Kareem (Superstar Entertainment); a business or public relations strategy and consult session with strategy/consultant Dr. Eunice Moseley (Freelance Associates, PRSA); recording studio time and a music track from Baltimore music producer V.I.P. (Dust Dem AFF Production); artist management consultation from Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs (Anthony-Michael.com); stage presence or vocal instruction from Cheryl Warfield (MoreOpera.com), and mixing and mastering from Jay Wiz (Blaze4GloryMusicGroup.com). The Uplifting Minds II Foundation provided the cash prizes of $500 to 1st place, $250 for 2nd place and $100 for both of the 3rd place winners.
