*A New Orleans woman was fatally stabbed by a male passenger who reportedly “woke up and decided to kill someone.” Police say he uploaded a video of the victim dying on Facebook. The victim was identified as 54-year-old Yolanda Dillion, an Uber driver and budget analyst at the New Orleans Police Department.
On Thursday, Dillon picked up Brandon Jacobs, 29, in downtown New Orleans and drove him back to his hotel when he stabbed her three times.
While Dillon was dying from her injuries, Jacobs recorded her last moments and uploaded the video on his Facebook page. Officers found Dillon in her vehicle and she was later taken to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries. The disturbing video was removed from Jacobs’ Facebook page on Friday. Investigators said Jacobs returned to his room at the Travelodge and police contacted Uber to locate his whereabouts. They found him after using Dillon’s cell phone to close the trip.
Close friends said Dillon was known as a nice person who was taking care of her 83-year-old mother as reported by the Daily Mail. She started driving for Uber to pay the bills. Her mother, Edna, said her daughter did a great job caring for her. The community was shocked by Dillon’s death and found her murder to be senseless, They were also saddened by the fact that she had to take on an extra source of income to support her cost of living.
