Munroe: What was the training process like for this film? Did you have to do any special training?

Castillo: It’s funny I did this film just as I was coming off of “Army of the Dead,” Zack Snyder’s big Zombie opus that is coming out later in the summer. And there’s a lot of weapons training in that. Moving into “Wrath of Man” and going over to London, we landed a bit before shooting. My character is part of this former military unit, so we were sent off into the countryside outside London for weapons training.

That’s a great gift. As actors, you start bonding and forming chemistry – which we had to do pretty quickly. But the training was definitely a part of that. It’s a lot of fun. You get to learn a new skill set as an actor. I had a different weapon in this film. I had to learn the shotgun. And I’m not a big gun person, but it’s just great as an actor to expand your repertoire of knowledge.

Munroe: What can we share with fans about Sam?

Castillo: He’s part of this former military unit. He’s a bit of a dark horse. He has a dark sense of humor to him. He enjoys being a part of the unit. He gets a thrill from the type of work they did overseas. When Jeffery Donovan’s character (Jackson) proposes that they start pulling off these jobs, he’s such a loyal soldier, and I think he just snaps to attention and goes right to work.

The film was written by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, and Marn Davies and hits theatres Friday, May 7th.
