Next, JUST EATS WITH CHEF JJ host a dinner party for guests including Singer Leela James, Supermodel Afiya Bennett and Fitness Trainer LLoyd Dickenson at 12 P.M. ET/ 11C.

At the intersection of empowerment, technology and world change, Valeisha Butterfield-Jones is a force to be reckoned with. Among her many hats she is a wife, a mom, the Global Head of Community and Inclusion for Google and the co-founder and CEO of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN).

Motivated by an encounter with then Sen. Barack Obama, she later became the 2012 National Youth Vote Director for President Obama’s re-election campaign and was instrumental in delivering one of the highest youth voter turnouts in American history.

Then, as Deputy Director of Public Affairs for International Trade in the U.S. Department of Commerce, Valeisha led community engagement efforts targeting minority and women-owned businesses. In this eye-opening episode, Valeisha shares her inspiration, how her work has made an impact, and what it means to be a Black woman in America today.

Touted as an “impressive leader” by First Lady Michelle Obama, Janaye Ingram has devoted her career to empowering people and creating change. As Director of National Partnerships for Airbnb, Janaye helps connect Airbnb with organizations and communities throughout the US. Christened a face of the new civil rights movement, Janaye began her career in advocacy at the National Action Network (NAN), where she planned the 50th anniversary of MLK’s iconic March on Washington, and served as a founder of the Women’s March, Inc. and Head of Logistics for the Women’s March on Washington and a lead organizer for global actions. In this conversation, Janaye discusses her journey, her nonprofits in New York and New Jersey and her road to success.
