*Prime Video has unveiled a new animated series, ‘The Chosen Adventures,’ a 14-episode comedy-adventure tailored for young viewers.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studios, the show will debut in the U.S. and subsequently be available in regions such as the United Kingdom, Latin America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Each 11-minute episode promises a blend of humor and heart, centered on life lessons in an ancient setting.
The series follows nine-year-old Abby and her friend Joshua as they explore the vibrant city of Capernaum. Their lives shift when they meet Jesus of Nazareth, a wise craftsman who reshapes their perspectives. Abby’s quirky companion, a talking sheep, adds a playful twist to their adventures. “The Chosen Adventures” aims to inspire its 7-to-12-year-old audience through stories of friendship and discovery.
Per the news release, the voice cast brings the characters to life with notable talent. “Paul Walter Hauser as Sheep, Yvonne Orji as Pigeon, Romy Fay as Abby, Jude Zarzaur as Joshua, Danny Nucci as Abba and Zehra Fazal as Eema” lead the ensemble, with Jonathan Roumie voicing Jesus. Additional voices include Jordin Sparks as Fish, alongside Paras Patel, Elizabeth Tabish, Noah James, and others in recurring and guest roles.
Ryan Swanson, the writer and showrunner, executive produces alongside Dallas Jenkins of 5&2 Studios. Other executive producers include Chris Juen, Chad Gundersen, Keith Alcorn, Kellen Erskine, Derral Eves, with Erin Elizabeth Gardner and Myesha Gosselin as producers. This project marks a continued collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studios, following a recent first-look deal.

The partnership also secures streaming rights for the first five seasons of “The Chosen,” the upcoming “Joseph of Egypt,” and “The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls” for Prime Video. The deal extends to theatrical and streaming rights for the final two seasons of “The Chosen,” covering the crucifixion in Season Six and the resurrection in Season Seven. Lionsgate oversees global distribution for both “The Chosen” and its unscripted counterpart.
