The event, held at the sleek NYLA Studios West in Los Angeles, brought together a mix of television royalty, network executives, and fans toasting the next chapter of the hit show.
The evening’s highlight was a Special Live Conversation featuring the show’s creator and executive producer, Carlos King, alongside key cast members Kimmi Scott, Maurice Scott, LaTisha Scott, and Marsau Scott. Known as the “Reality King,” Carlos King set the tone for the night, making a grand entrance dressed to impress, embodying the energy and glamour he brings to his productions.
OWN’s leadership showed up in full force to support their #1 series. Tina Perry, President of OWN Network, along with Shirley Salomon, Vice President of Production; Daryl Bolander, Vice President of Programming & Development; and Drew Tappon, Head of Unscripted Development and an executive producer of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, were among the notable attendees. Their presence underscored the network’s commitment to showcasing authentic Black stories and their successful collaboration with Carlos King and Kingdom Reign Productions.
Carlos King took the stage to a warm welcome, immediately capturing the audience’s attention with his charisma. He expressed gratitude for the show’s loyal fans and the network’s unwavering support in his introduction. He then welcomed the Scott family, whose dynamic mix of love, ambition, and drama has kept viewers hooked.
The live conversation dove deep into the essence of Love & Marriage: Huntsville. Topics ranged from Black love and marriage to the challenges of blending authenticity with reality TV. The Scotts were candid about their experiences, from navigating public scrutiny to showcasing the complexities of their relationships onscreen. Their raw honesty and humor resonated with the audience, sparking laughter and applause throughout the discussion.

King emphasized the show’s mission of bringing authentic, multifaceted Black love stories to the forefront.
“This isn’t just reality TV,” he remarked. “This is about creating a legacy and showing that our stories matter.”
After the conversation, the celebration continued with an elevated reception. Themed cocktails like “Carlos Spills The Tea,” “Spicy Love & Marriage Margarita,” and “Reign Drops” added a playful touch, while gourmet hors d’oeuvres kept guests mingling and energized.
