Christian Keyes Blames Tyler Perry for ‘Weird’ Show Changes
*Uh oh! Christian Keyes is sounding off about what went wrong with “All The Queen’s Men.” The actor and creator says Tyler Perry hijacked the show’s direction, turning it into something fans barely recognized.
He says the shift happened after Season 1, once the series moved under Tyler Perry Studios. What started as a gritty, sexy drama took a bizarre turn—one that Keyes never signed off on.
Creator Claims He Was Erased Behind the Scenes
“All The Queen’s Men” was based on Keyes’ novel “Ladies Night.” He not only created the show, but also served as writer, executive producer, and actor.
But according to him, Perry’s team tried to remove his “Created by” credit entirely. “They removed my creator credit. I had to go through the union to get it back,” he shared on Instagram Live.

Keyes Calls Out Extreme Plotlines and Loss of Control
Keyes says the show went completely off the rails during Seasons 2 and 3. He specifically pointed out disturbing and graphic scenes that he says didn’t fit the original tone.
“Season two and season three is when ‘All The Queen’s Men’ got weird. Dudes started getting r*ped with dildos and all that weird s***. Don’t nobody wanna see that s***.” He added, “Put that s*** on your show,” taking shots at Perry’s other series like “The Oval” and “Sistas.”
BET+ Ends the Show After Five Seasons
BET+ recently confirmed that Season 5 will be the last for “All The Queen’s Men.” The network has not linked the cancellation to Keyes’ comments.
Keyes made it clear he’s not mad about the ending. He views it as a fresh opportunity to reclaim his story on his own terms.
Actor Christian Keyes accuses Tyler Perry of trying to steal his creative buyout credit for the recently canceled TV show “All the Queen’s Men”, and says he had to call the union to force Tyler Perry Studios (TPS) to give it back.

Christian Keyes Plans New Life for the ATQM Universe
Keyes has no plans to let the series fade away. In fact, he’s already cooking up more content.
“The good news is that there are already multiple, wonderful studios and streaming companies interested in the prequels, and the spin-off show,” Keyes said in the video.
“So, the ATQM universe will continue; there will be a couple of definite casting changes, but the show will go on. ATQM will just end up somewhere amazing, with quality leadership and accountability.”
That means fans can expect more of Madam DeVille’s world—just not under Tyler Perry’s watch.
Why Christian Keyes’ Claims Are Raising Eyebrows
This is more than just a creative disagreement—it’s about power and ownership in Black Hollywood. Keyes says he built the show from the ground up and was shut out as it gained momentum.
He called Perry’s handling of the show “shady and corny,” especially as scenes got more graphic and off-brand. The tension has now spilled into public view, drawing a sharp divide among fans.

‘All The Queen’s Men’ Broke Ground With Its Premise
When it premiered in 2021, “All The Queen’s Men” brought something new to BET+. The story followed Eva Marcille as Marilyn “Madam” DeVille, a strip club boss with brains, beauty, and blood on her hands.
The show offered high-stakes drama, twisted romance, and a rare look at power through a Black female lens. But after Season 1, longtime fans noticed something had changed—and now they know why.
Fans React to Drama Between Christian Keyes and Tyler Perry
Reactions online have been mixed. Some fans agree with Keyes and say the show lost its spark. Others stand by Perry’s creative choices and say the show was always meant to shock.
Regardless of where you stand, “All The Queen’s Men” as we knew it is officially done at BET+. But based on Keyes’ energy, the franchise is far from over.
