The decision was revealed by David Decker, President of Content Sales for Warner Bros. Discovery, along with Lauren Blincoe, Senior Vice President of Current Programming for Telepictures.
Since its debut, “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” hosted by the multi-talented Jennifer Hudson—an Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar, and Tony winner—has made significant strides in the competitive talk show genre. The program has achieved the third-highest unique reach, boasting 6 million viewers aged 25-54. Following a remarkable rise in 2025, the show reached its peak viewership during the week of January 13, marking a +21% increase in this demographic compared to late October 2024.
The digital success of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” is equally impressive. The show experienced a meteoric rise in social media presence at the onset of its third season, with a staggering 103% increase in followers and a 627% jump in impressions, reaching 777 million across platforms. TikTok led this growth, with followers climbing 119% to 5.6 million. Instagram and Facebook followed with increases of 106% to 2 million and 70% to 2.4 million, respectively. YouTube subscribers also increased, hitting 1.67 million. The show’s viral “Spirit Tunnel,” a beloved backstage ritual welcoming guests, has now surpassed 2 billion views, showcasing the show’s cultural resonance.

In terms of accolades, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” has received numerous industry awards, including two NAACP Image Awards for “Outstanding Talk Show Series” and “Outstanding Talk Show Host.” Hudson herself was honored at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards with the Excellence in Media Award, and the show continues to rack up critical acclaim, currently holding 10 Daytime Emmy nominations.
