*Nick Cannon is facing a lawsuit accusing him of copying key elements from his hit MTV show, “Wild ‘N Out,” to create a similar program on Zeus Network called “Bad Vs. Wild.”
Cannon, who launched “Wild ‘N Out” in 2005, hosted the improv rap battle show for nearly 20 years across 21 seasons. The show, inspired by “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” featured celebrities and street artists engaging in comedic rap battles. In 2024, he moved to the subscription-based Zeus Network and introduced “Bad Vs. Wild,” which has sparked legal action with Viacom over alleged intellectual property theft.
“Zeus’s copying of these elements in ‘Bad vs. Wild’ constitutes . . . infringement,” according to the Manhattan federal court filing, per The New York Post.
“Zeus’s actions have caused . . . confusion, mistake, or deception as to the source,” the complaint says.
Viacom argues that Zeus “intentionally induced Nick Cannon to breach his contract with Viacom by enlisting him as the host of ‘Bad vs. Wild,’ knowing that this would violate the terms of Nick Cannon’s contract with Viacom.”

The lawsuit claims the media company has incurred financial losses and suffered “irreparable injury to its business.”
Viacom is requesting a court order to prevent Zeus “from producing, promoting, distributing, or airing any existing or future episodes of ‘Bad vs. Wild’,” while also seeking unspecified damages.
