*BET+ is set to captivate audiences once again with the return of its gripping original series, “American Gangster: Trap Queens,” premiering the first half of Season 4 this summer. The show, which delves into the high-stakes lives of some of America’s most infamous female criminals, will drop five new episodes, each unraveling the rise, fall, and redemption of women who orchestrated multimillion-dollar criminal enterprises.
Narrated by rapper Da Brat, the series promises raw, unfiltered stories of ambition and betrayal. This season spotlights ten women whose audacious schemes and relentless drive propelled them to the top of the underworld, only to face dramatic downfalls. From drug lords to fraud masterminds, their stories are as diverse as they are intense.
Per the news release, this season, viewers will learn about Felicia “Snoop” Pearson, a feared enforcer in 1980s Baltimore, who built a drug empire that inspired her role on “The Wire,” but loyalty to old allies jeopardized her downfall. Padge Windslowe, known as Black Madam, rose from Philly’s underground to dominate black-market silicone injections, only to be undone by a fatal procedure. Angela “Shay” Wright balanced teaching by day with running a cocaine operation linked to BMF, until a betrayal shattered her empire.
Sharita Mathis turned stolen identities into a Medicaid fraud fortune, but a federal audit brought her scheme crashing down. Celeste Wells, shaped by a traumatic childhood in 1950s Miami, became a master thief, undone by a corrupt cop. Kristell Miles transformed from a college student into Kissimmee’s queenpin after falling for a dealer.

Starr Austin made millions flipping stolen luxury cars in Detroit, but her hustle eventually spun out of control. Veronica Henderson orchestrated a $20 million credit card scam, only to be betrayed by her own family. Nelly Idowu’s global romance scam empire thrived on deception until her accounting prowess couldn’t save her. Regina Blackshear, the “Queen of Furs,” flipped stolen luxury pelts to celebrities until a jewelry heist crew led to her downfall.
The series builds on its legacy with two acclaimed BET+ Original biopics: “First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story,” which earned NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Directing (Vivica A. Fox), and “Fighting To Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story,” a powerful release earlier this year.
“American Gangster: Trap Queens” is executive produced by Tiffany Lea Williams and Angela Aguilera for BET+, alongside Arthur Smith and Frank Sinton for A. Smith & Co. Productions. Additional executive producers include Judge Gregory Mathis, Delece James, and Jackson Nguyen, with David Rock serving as co-executive producer and Ashley Taylor serving as producer.
