Upon arrival, I had to take a moment to simply admire its curves. The 2025 Mazda 3 Hatchback Turbo Premium Plus is a masterful blend of modern design, the ‘all you need’ technology, and exciting performance.
It’s a compact car that delivers a driving experience far beyond expectation. Let’s get into it.
The Look: A hatchback isn’t every girl’s dream, but Mazda might have won me over, so much so I might have to consider buying one. Mazda’s ‘Kodo’ design philosophy, which says design is art, shines through in the 2025 Mazda 3 Hatchback.
Its sleek profile, bold front grille, and sculpted lines create a sense of motion and elegance, making it a head-turner on the road. The hatchback’s design is surprising. The Hatchback’s design is not only pretty, but also aerodynamic. I am most certainly in love with the black accents, which play into the sleek design of the vehicle.
The interior is giving sports car vibes with cozy leather seats and smooth curves all around. I am particularly drawn to the gear shift, which reminds me of a manual transmission design. I wasn’t in love with the hard surfaces on the dash and parts of the doors, however.
The Drive: Under the hood, the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a powerful drive. This powertrain gives the driver brisk acceleration along with a responsive performance, making the Mazda 3 a joy to drive. It was truly a lot of fun to drive. The available all-wheel-drive system ensures confident handling in various conditions, and the well-tuned suspension strikes a balance between comfort and sportiness. The one thing I’ll say about the performance is that I found myself refueling frequently. With an MPG of 26 combined city and highway, I was a bit annoyed with this fuel inefficiency. But it isn’t a hybrid.
The Tech: I have written my mixed feelings about the infotainment system in the Mazda line. Mostly I think the look is a bit dated and can use a redesign, but on occasion, like this one, I think it works. The screen, in the standard trim, comes in at 8.8 inches, while in the Turbo trim, which I drove, is a slightly larger with 10.25 inches. The screen works because it isn’t intrusive and doesn’t block the view. Plus it is touch screen and wirelessly connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. Advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking are also available, enhancing both convenience and peace of mind.
Overall, the 2025 Mazda 3 Hatchback Turbo Premium Plus offers a well rounded experience and gives those seeking little style, some reliable technology, and enjoy a good fun drive in a compact vehicle. Its combination of design, features, and performance makes it a standout choice in the Mazda lineup.
