*Toni Braxton and Cedric the Entertainer have extended their co-headlining Las Vegas residency, “Love & Laughter,” with additional dates.
Braxton and Cedric added seven new shows at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Rated RnB reports. The original dates sold out and ran from April 27 through July 13. The new shows begin Aug. 9 through Dec. 21. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.
“Comedy and song have been at the heart of the human communal experience since the beginning of time, and we are thrilled to join on stage to bring that experience to the Cosmopolitan,” Braxton and Cedric said in a joint statement. “We could all use a little more love and laughter in our lives.”
In related news, Aug. 9 is also the season premiere of “The Braxtons” on We TV. As we reported earlier, each hour-long episode will feature Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Ms. Evelyn Braxton on an emotional rollercoaster of love, loss, triumph, heartbreak, and healing.
Here’s the official synopsis: In this new series, the fierce Braxton women reunite for the first time since the loss of their beloved sister, Traci, offering viewers a raw and unfiltered look at the family’s highs and lows across eight captivating episodes. Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. E navigate careers, health challenges and busy personal lives while growing their family bond. Toni faces a critical health challenge as she prepares for her Vegas comeback. Trina starts therapy for PTSD. Towanda battles alopecia. Tamar focuses on her wellness journey. And Ms. E’s cooking show dream is becoming a reality. However, the family reuniting continues to bring up questions and unresolved issues. Will Traci’s last wish be enough for the family to be close again, as they once were?
