*Singer T-Boz responded on social media after fans expressed concern about her health following the cancellation of TLC’s Australia/New Zealand tour with En Vogue and Busta Rhymes.

The Jasmine Brand reports that the group’s official Instagram page announced that the forthcoming tour was canceled, and fans quickly speculated that this was due to T-Boz’s battle with sickle cell anemia.

“To our incredible Australian and New Zealand fans, with heavy hearts, we regret to announce the cancellation of our upcoming tour,” the message on TLC’s Instagram page states.

“Unforeseen circumstances have made it impossible to proceed, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment. to our fans. Your support means everything, and we promise to make it up to you. We can’t wait to be back in your beautiful countries soon. Thank you for your understanding and love,” the statement continued.

According to The Jasmine Brand, T-Boz shared an update in the comments section of the outlet’s IG post about her fans, writing, “Thx, but I’m JUST FINE!!! Great actually! Just bcuz I hv Sockle cell doesn’t mean I’m SICK all the time!!! My name was no where in that article! It was for business reasons ONLY!”

Bandmate Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas added, “Tionne is not sick..she’s doing great! And we’re excited about our tour in Japan, March 16th”.

Back in 2017, T-Boz hit up social media to mourn the death of rapper Prodigy, who passed away after a battle with sickle cell anemia. She fired off a series of tweets about the lack of attention given to the disease — both in the health industry and mainstream media.

T-Boz called out Black Lives Matter for not bringing attention to a disease that primarily affects Black people.

“I HATE it takes the death of a celebrity to bring even more notice to something I talk about almost in every interview for 25years,” she wrote at the time.

“#BLM THIS disease is PREDOMINATELY an African American Disease so Black Lives Have Mattered over more than just one topic or issue,” T-Boz continued. “WE NEED TO SUPPORT 1 ANOTHER OVER ALL compassion for people as HUMAN BEINGS not objects and lab rats but help to FIND A CURE SAVE OURSELVES.”
