*Sony Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for KeKe Palmer and SZA’s new buddy comedy “One of Them Days,” co-starring Maude Apatow, Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, and Katt Williams.
The feature, which marks SZA’s movie debut, centers on two best friends and roommates in Los Angeles who must come up with rent money after one of their boyfriends takes their cash. “When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact,” the synopsis states, per PEOPLE.
Palmer and her mother executive produced the movie with Issa Rae serving as producer of the Lawrence Lamont-directed film. Watch the trailer above.
“One of Them Days” is in theaters on Jan. 24.
Meanwhile, Palmer recently revealed that she lives below her means after filing for bankruptcy at a young age.
“I was so spooked. I was like ‘What went wrong?’” Palmer recalled while speaking about how she mishandled her finances earlier in her career during the Building Wealth Today for Tomorrow Financial Empowerment Summit in Chicago, Il.
“If I got $10,000 in the bank, then my house would be $500 a month. That’s how under I mean because I can probably afford something $2,500 maybe, but I’m going way under,” the actress explained. “You know why? Because I wanna invest in my business.”
Keke added: “So if I wanna invest in my business, then the material things that I have currently might have to take a short back. Instead of wearing Gucci, I’m wearing Zara. I live in a good place. I drive a cool car, ’cause my money is going elsewhere… I got a Toyota right now in my driveway.”
