*Following a last week Michigan town hall emceed by Oprah Winfrey alongside Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has come out to explain why she thinks Oprah has lost her old “genuine” self.
Kelly, 53, told “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast listeners on Friday that she finds Winfrey, 70, started being less trustworthy when she began taking a weight loss medication.
“I miss fat Oprah, she was just genuine,” Kelly claimed. “Now this thin Ozempic Oprah has lost—along with the pounds, her heart—her sense of authenticity.”
Kelly, a supporter of Donald Trump, hit Oprah the morning after the town hall attended virtually by celebrities such as Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, and Jennifer Lopez. The attendees sat through an interview similar to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” of the past days. Oprah was, of course, the host.
But it was the iconic TV host’s unhinged support of Harris that seemed to have infuriated Kelly, who later said she no longer considers herself a fan of Oprah.
“I used to love Oprah, like most of us who grew up when we did,” Kelly stated. “And only now did I realize I’ve been getting spoon-fed propaganda from this woman for years.”
At some point during Harris’ interview, the talk moved to gun control policies. Vice President Harris, 59, claimed she wouldn’t think twice before shooting a home intruder.
“If somebody breaks into my house, they’re getting shot, sorry,” she announced as the live audience applauded.
She burst laughing as she quickly added, “Probably should not have said that, but my staff will deal with that later.”
Kelly thinks Oprah should have pushed Harris harder to clarify her gun control policies. Oprah has yet to react to Kelly’s comments.
Kelly’s podcast has since been posted online and aired on SiriusXM.
