Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Hiss’ Track Angers Nicki Minaj and Family of Megan Kanka

*Megan Thee Stallion’s latest single, “Hiss,” has enraged Nicki Minaj and the family of the late Megan Kanka, and they are threatening to take legal action against the rapper.

The track includes the lyric: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law.”

Megan’s Law is named in honor of Kanka, who was raped and murdered at age 7 in 1994.

Megan’s verse triggered Minaj because she takes it as a diss toward her family. As Complex reports, her brother, Jelani Maraj, is serving 25 years to life after being convicted of sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl in 2017.

Meanwhile, Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, 45, is a level two sex offender in New York state. In 1995, he was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree on a 16-year-old girl when Petty was allegedly 17. He served four years in prison and had to register as a sex offender in the state of California when he moved to Los Angeles following his marriage to Nicki.

Nicki responded with a diss track called “Big Foot,” in which she takes aim at Megan’s dead mother and mocks the injuries she suffered in the Tory Lanez shooting. Minaj also accuses Megan of lying to Gayle King about the controversial case.

Meanwhile, Kanka’s father, Richard, is angry over the Megan’s Law reference on “Hiss,” TMZ reports.

Per the outlet, “Kanka tells TMZ that Megan dragging his late daughter’s name into the expletive-riddled song aimed at Nicki is as disrespectful as it gets, from his POV.”

TMZ notes that Kanka is “…considering looking into his legal options to see if Meg’s track went too far.”
