“Rap Sh!t” stars Aida Osman and KaMillion as Mia and Shawna, two Miami rappers whose storylines were inspired by City Girls hip-hop duo Yung Miami and JT. The half-hour comedy follows two estranged high school friends who reunite to form a rap group, Deadline reports.

Meanwhile, Brandon T. Jackson is set to star in Carl Weber’s “The Family Business” spinoff for BET+. He also will serve as an associate producer on the series.

The Family Business” series is based on Weber’s New York Times best-selling crime drama series and follows the Duncans, an upstanding tight-knit family that, by day, owns and operates an exotic car dealership in New York. By night, their business activities are more illicit.

Per Deadline, “In the spinoff, when the New Orleans side of the Duncan family gets caught in a vicious turf war with corrupt politicians, dirty land developers, and ruthless crime bosses all vying for the family’s underground casino and night club business, they call on their relatives from New York to help wield their own brand of justice.”

The eight-episode series goes into production in March.
