*Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s attorney, Alex Spiro joined “TMZ Live” Wednesday to discuss the superstar couple’s response to Piers Morgan’s controversial interview with Jaguar Wright, who claimed the couple had more “victims” than Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
“This was a pointed and formal accusation of something that I felt needed to be responded to,” Spiro said.
“I think somebody reported it was a cease-and-desist, it wasn’t that. It was quite bluntly an ultimatum. Remove that false accusation or a court is going to order you to,” he added in the YouTube clip below. “I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly.”
As we reported earlier, Morgan invited Wright onto the program to weigh in on Diddy’s arrest and mounting legal issues. The 54-year-old father of seven is facing numerous accusations of sexual assault by women and men. He is currently being held without bond in a Brooklyn jail following his arrest last month on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
“For four years, I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and JAY-Z are monsters, and the victim-making machine kept going on,” Wright stated during the broadcast.
When Morgan asked Jaguar why JAY-Z has yet to speak out about the Diddy controversy, she replied, “Because that’s what he does. He starts little fires everywhere and forces everyone to carry water while he sneaks away without a response. That changes now, Sean. You must respond, you have no choice. Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs have one person in common professionally and privately: Sean Carter.”
She added, “I’ve talked to hundreds [of victims] that I deal with still myself. I have three victims right now who are willing to give testimonies about not only what Mr. Carter has done to them, but his wife as well,” she said, referring to Beyonce.

“They’re a nasty little couple,” Wright added. “They do nasty things. Keeping people against their will, putting people on planes while they’re unconscious. Just like Aaliyah got on that plane unconscious. There’s a lot of things that people don’t want to talk about, Piers… I’m just being honest.”
After Shapiro contacted Morgan to edit Wright’s segment, he issued a public apology.
“The thing about platforms, the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear. That’s why we invited her on to be interviewed,” Piers said during his broadcast. “The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine. Well, Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have. We had lawyers contact us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview.”
Morgan then addressed the decision to edit the interview.
“Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored, but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too,” he said. “And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
