Ben Shapiro Accepts Candace Owens’ Challenge to debate on Israel-Hamas war, Antisemitism

*Controversial conservative commentator Candace Owens challenged her former Daily Wire colleague Ben Shaprio to a debate about the Israel-Hamas war and current definition of antisemitism.

Shapiro accepted the challenge but said she would not debate him on the Daily Wire platform. She also suggested a neutral moderator, such as Joe Rogan or Lex Fridman, who accepted the offer to host a debate.

Jeremy Boreing, The Daily Wire co-founder, offered to host the debate on the platform in Nashville, with “no ads on the video and no charge to watch it. No one cashes in.”

Owens reminded him that she is in London and could not commit to appearing in the city for an in-person showdown with Shapiro on April 8, and offered to do the debate virtually.

Boreing agreed that The Daily Wire doesn’t need to be involved, but said Ben will not participate if there is a moderator, nor do it virtually. Owens accepted.

Barring the odd insinuation that you didn’t know your own employees were booked on international flights to come join me in London to film for your platform…this is great.

Last month, Boreing spoke out about why the company parted ways with Owens after she used the phrase “Christ is King.”

We reported earlier that according to Boreing, who is Jewish, that phrase is anti-Semitic.

The precise reasons behind Owens’ exit from the media company remain uncertain. However, her departure follows online harassment by two attention-seeking rabbis who falsely accused the media personality of harboring anti-Semitic sentiments.

As Mediaite reports, The Daily Wire accused Owens of “quoting Scripture like Satan does in the Bible.”

“The rumors are true— I am finally free,” Owens wrote on X after Boreing confirmed her departure. “There will be many announcements in the weeks to come,” she added.
