
*Six-year-old Miya Hayes from Tennessee went viral after opening up about being bullied by a schoolmate named Jessica. In a candid Instagram video, she shared her experience of being fat-shamed.
In the clip, Miya expressed her thoughts about bullying and how the incident with Jessica affected her. The child didn’t hold back in the post that resonated with viewers, drawing widespread support. Miya even spoke to TODAY.com about Jessica and her newfound online fame.
“Let me all tell ya’ll something — don’t talk about people,” Miya says in the viral video. “People is perfect the way they are.”
“And I’m talking about you, Jessica!” the first grader adds.
In a phone interview with TODAY.com, Miya described Jessica as “mean.”
“Miya speaks her mind. She knows who she is and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about her,” Miya’s mom, Chrisshay Clack, told the outlet.
In the comments of Miya’s IG post, one person wrote, “This little girl handles her situation with facts 😂😂😂 I’m on her side.” Another added, “…this baby reminds me of “Dee” on What’s Happening !!”
A third wrote, “It’s okay Miya boo stay out of trouble with ur mama! Trust…. You got a bunch of aunties over here willing to be in trouble for you 😂 babygirl we all ridin at dawn for you.”
