*21 Savage may be from London but ask the rapper what the difference is between the country and his current residing location of Atlanta, GA and he will tell you it’s all the same.

“It is but it ain’t, though, to me. It look different, but it’s the same s**t,” Savage confessed to Shannon Sharpe during the former sports star’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

Despite finding allies in ATL quickly, Revolt notes the Slaughter Gang member mentioned that his London accent caused friction among other students at the school he attended.

“I got in a fight on the first day of school. On God. They used to tease me,” Savage told Sharpe. “I get on the bus or whatever, they start talking to me. So they’re making fun of me on the way to school. So we get on the bus to go home, they making fun of me on the way home.”

“So we get off the bus. One of the older dudes, his brother was the main one,” he continued. So the older brother said something [that was] basically like, ‘Fight him.’ So we get off the bus [and] I beat him up.” He ended the story with a humorous anecdote about his mother grabbing his ear to pull him into the house, which was her response to hearing about the fight from girls in the neighborhood.”

Needless to say, 21 Savage’s accent was not an issue for the haters, moving forward.

As he continued chatting with Sharpe, the rapper put to rest speculation surrounding the trailer for his biopic, “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story.” According to Complex, Savage confirmed the project is a parody. Despite the confirmation, the rhymesayer shared Sharpe’s hopes that his life story would make the big screen.

“I feel like it could be one day,” Savage said. “They would hate on it now though. Because they gon’ be like, ‘What the f— 21 Savage deserve a story for, a movie about him for? What he did?’ You know how they do.”

Starring 21 Savage, the Donald Glover-directed “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story” featured Glover as the entertainer and Caleb McLaughlin as a younger version of 21 Savage. In addition, the parody starred Jabari Banks as rapper Metro Boomin, Young Mazino, Natasha Lyonne, Victoria Pedretti, Chad Lindberg, Druski, and Gail Bean. Co-directing the video with Glover were Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori and Fam Udeorji

As for the nature of the trailer, Blavity speculates it could serve as a tool for promoting Savage’s upcoming “American Dream” album, which dropped on Jan. 12. Look for “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story” to arrive on July 4.
