*Webbies, we the best, and Social Heat is coming in hot. Whoopi Goldberg gave our honey bun Idris Elba the side-eye on Monday’s “The View” episode because he expressed his reasons for going to therapy on the “Changes with Annie Macmanus” podcast. “It’s a lot,” Idris said, “It’s not because I don’t like myself or anything like that; it’s just because I have some unhealthy habits that have really formed. And I work in an industry that I’m rewarded for those unhealthy habits… I’m rewarded for that. Whether it’s to be selfish or [because] I’m a workaholic. I’m an absolute workaholic, and that isn’t great for life generally.” Whoopi however was unmoved by his revelation, “I’m not interested because I like waking up to kitty cats that say feed me. There’s no fuss, no muss. There’s nobody that says, ‘I can’t come home ’cause I’m busy.’ No, there’s no problem. People are saying he’s working so hard that he doesn’t have time to get home,” the Oscar winner contended. She added, “I’d be mad as hell at him if I was his wife. Because basically, you’re saying you have to go to therapy to figure out how to come home,” she said. “That’s an issue between you and I when you put it out there.” Dang, Whoop, all the man said is he’s trying to find a healthy work-life balance.

SZA spoke to Mankaprr Conteh from Rolling Stone and discussed the pressures of fame. The “SOS” artist recalled the 2018 Grammy, how she felt losing a few coveted awards and then having to perform. From an excerpt from the interview, the songstress shared, “That’s weird that that happened to me on TV,” she remembers. “That night, right before I lost the last two, Tyler [the Creator] was like, ‘Nah, it would be so fucking weird if you lost everything and they asked you to perform. That’d be so terrible, don’t even worry.’ Child, when I lost that last one …” she says, her speech slowing. She remembers looking back at Tyler, a few rows behind her, and walking out. “It’s not normal,” SZA says. “I hate that niggas be acting like this shit is normal and nobody talks about it at all.” Think about it: having to smile, interview, and even sing through some of the stiffest competition you’ll ever face. “The Grammy room is one of the weirdest rooms ever,” SZA says. “There is so much wanting in there. Wanting to be noticed, wanting to be, like, acknowledged, to win, wanting to just be amongst niggas in the room, wanting to feel valuable or validated. All of us are in there striving for something. It means something, even though, like, this isn’t everything. But it’s kind of important that I’m here. It kind of matters.” Last year, with little on the line personally, she had a blast cheering for people like Beyoncé, Lizzo, Bad Bunny, and Steve Lacy. Still, she says, “it’s like a thirsty, dark space.” Hmm, not all that glitters is gold. Read full interview here.

Sexxy Redd declared her love for former President Donald J. Trump because he issued stimmy checks and freed brothers and sisters doing bids in prison. However, some celebs and randoms were hollering, “We hate it here,” based on her reasons for being MAGA. “She has zero clue how the stimmy’s got done, or whose money it was and the misinformation targeting at those with low education is effective. GOP got Kodak Black & Sexy Red… DEMS got Hunter Biden ????,” radio personality Ebro pointed out. “Are we forgetting why free money was needed…because of how colossally he fumbled the pandemic ????,” one person added. Don Cheadle dropped an emoji of a man smacking his head. “As wild as this May sound… it’s a looooooot of people in the Hood who agree with her. As horrible as 45 was on policy, as racist as he is, as problematic as he is criminally and as horrible as he made us look internationally…What a lot of people remember him for is… “them checks.” This also shows how poor of a job many of us do politically educating our people in underserved communities. A lot of us won’t even go back into our own communities to have conversations with people like her to break down why 45 was so bad. This is a byproduct of a lack of political education and the consistent “writing off” of our people by our own people,” said Dr. Wes Bellamy. Look, we know 45 is wretched but the way he’s formed his cult of followers that man is probably going to win the presidency and we hate to say this, smh.

Iman refuses to wear the Celine brand she admitted in a 2022 interview on “Sway’s Universe” which resurfaced on X, formerly Twitter. Iman formed a Diversity Coalition with Naomi Campbell and former model Bethann Hardison to demand fashion houses and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. acknowledge and improve the representation of Black models for shows during the 2013 New York Fashion Week. Creative director from 2008 to 2018, Phoebe Philo, was resistant to the idea of diversifying the catwalk for the Celine brand. “Every woman, Black, white, of every age that I know of coveted Céline bags. You know, it was always on a wait list, wait list, wait list,” said Iman. “She said, ‘Am I going to be forced to use Black models?’ I said, ‘No. There’s got to be the right Black model for you. You know, there can’t be no Black model that’s not right for you,’” remembers Iman. “Just by she saying that I said — and I did this because I’ve done it but I never said it, you know, publicly — I said for the action that she’s saying she has to have the choice not to use Black models, that’s why I have never bought a Celine bag. She has the right to her runway, and I have a right to my pocketbook … that’s what I mean by boycott. It’s like it’s lots of bags I can own. I don’t need a Celine bag, especially if she feels nothing for me,” affirmed the supermodel icon. Listen, Euro-trash fashion brands can kick rocks, we’re fine supporting Black-owned labels.
