*The White House hosted a Pride Month event on Saturday and several members of the TQIA+ community brought a bit of debauchery with them.

A transwoman named Rose Montoya is catching heat for posing topless at the event with several trans males who exposed their mastectomy scars.  Some might call it “stunning and brave,” while others are giving a side eye to the attention-seekers.

Montoya went viral after sharing a video on Instagram showing highlights of Biden’s Pride party. During the celebration, the president called the transgender community the “bravest” people he has ever met.

Meanwhile, members of the queer community are giving Montoya hell for the topless, breast-shaking stunt.

In the caption of the IG video, Montoya wrote: “I had the honor of attending White House Pride, the largest one in history where the pride flag flew for the first time. This is trans joy. We’re here at the white house unapologetically trans, queer, and brown.”

In the comments of the video, Montoya’s followers appear to be anything but impressed by the embarrassing performance, with one person writing: “And your feckless topless stunt has set us back further! Those of us who have been clawing and fighting for equality will not forgive you.”

Another IG user added, “You just single handedly set the whole cause many steps backwards. THIS IS NOT PRIDE ????️‍????. This is classless and embarrassing. You should take it down.”

Several members of the LGB community seem to agree that Montoya’s White House display was “disrespectful.”

The White House responded to the incident Tuesday. A spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE: “This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House. It is not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGBTQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who were in attendance. Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events.”

Montoya seemingly referred to the controversial incident via Instagram Story, writing, “I’m currently receiving 100’s of emails and phone calls. I will be unavailable for the time being. Please be patient with me. I will be making a public statement press release soon.”

The trans activist also issued a rambling video response in which conservatives are blamed and Montoya calls for trans women to “free” their nipples. Watch the Twitter clip below.
