*Black History Month celebration in the US ends today, 28th February but alas, celebrating Black History continues throughout the year and years to come. Some Black heroes continue and make positive news and continue to be role models for present and future generations. Some will make their mark by coming onto the scene for the first time and later becoming household names.
EURweb contents can now be found on Microsoft’s MSN.com which reaches just under a BILLION people monthly around the world and as such OUR ROOTS is featured as well with the Malcolm X feature. Jerry Robinson the creator of JOKER was the first to syndicate OUR ROOTS in the U.S. through his Cartoonists and Writers Syndicate. When I got the call from across the Atlantic, I was over the moon for this breakthrough to have a U.S. representative syndicate OUR ROOTS in newspapers in the U.S. OUR ROOTS later took on a life of its own and through EURweb it has made its way to MSN.com.

Nigeria’s Presidential Election 2023
Hopefully, the cartoons that focused on the Nigerian Presidential Election here on EURWEB were informative enough. Nigerians hope and pray for results of last Saturday’s election to choose their next President. Lest we forget, the 2023 Nigerian gubernatorial elections for State Governors will be held in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All will be held on 11 March except for three elections.
TAYO Fatunla whose work features on MSN.Com, is an award-winning Nigerian Comic Artist, Editorial Cartoonist, Writer and Illustrator is an artist of African diaspora. He is a graduate of the prestigious Kubert School, in New Jersey, US. and recipient of the 2018 ECBACC Pioneer Lifetime Achievement Award for his illustrated OUR ROOTS creation and series – Famous people in Black History – He participated at UNESCO’s Cartooning In Africa forum held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the Cartooning Global Forum in Paris, France and has held a virtual OUR ROOTS cartoon workshop for SMITHSONIAN- National Museum of African Art, Washington D.C.
