*TD Jakes Enterprises has announced its first-ever holiday gift guide in conjunction with its national initiative, the Good Soil Movement.

The Good Soil Gift Guide launched on December 1 to help shoppers support small Black and minority-owned businesses. You can now upload your listings if you are a Good Soil member.

“Our mission with the Good Soil movement is to grow and impact one million businesses and for those businesses to also reach at least $1 million in revenue throughout their entrepreneurship journey,” said Michael Phillips, chief operations officer for T.D. Jakes Enterprises, in a statement.

“Good Soil has grown to almost 20,000 members and we are proud of every single entrepreneur that has joined this movement. This list is a celebration of hard work and Black entrepreneurship,” Phillips added.

According to the news release, the Good Soil Gift Guide is free to anyone other than Good Soil app users. The guide will remain continuously updated throughout the year, celebrating occasions like Small Business Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Valentine’s Day, etc.

“We wanted to do something meaningful to recognize the guiding philosophy behind Small Business Saturday / Cyber Monday, but in a way that would immediately benefit our members,” Phillips shared with EUR exclusively via email. “We recalled that we’d looked around for comprehensive “Shop Black” guides and started brainstorming how to launch something that wouldn’t be a flash in the pan.

Phillips said the team is “extremely proud of the small businesses that are a part of this growing movement.”

“It’s notable to mention many businesses featured have showcased impressive holiday-specific products at the start,” Phillips explained.

“It’s exciting to see the creativity and preparedness of our members, with a diverse range of offerings tailored for the festive season. The variety and quality of these products highlight the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication of the featured businesses,” he continued.

Phillips said this initiative “empowers small businesses by uniting them under a common banner, amplifying their reach and fostering a sense of community.”

He continued, “For consumers, it provides a gateway to unique and underrepresented products, enabling conscientious purchasing and supporting passionate entrepreneurs.”

The gift guide, Phillips said, “celebrates diversity, catalyzes growth, and establishes a symbiotic relationship between businesses and their communities.”

“This is one part of our ongoing pursuit of creating meaningful change around this country,” Phillips said. “We will continue to embark on a mission of constructing hope and opportunity for individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners.”
