*A recording of a phone call between Shirley Strawberry and her jailed husband reveals that last year police seized her truck and wedding ring.
We reported previously that Earnest “Ernesto” Williams, 59, was arrested in 2022 on fraud and child pornography charges. According to MediaTakeOut, “a man bearing the same name as her husband, Ernest Williams was arrested and charged with having child p***ography on his computer,” the outlet writes.
As SandraRose.com reports, Williams pleaded guilty on June 6, 2023, to felony possession of a weapon. He was sentenced to 23 months in prison.
Strawberry, 70, has been a part of Harvey’s radio team for more than a decade. According to MTO, the comedian introduced Shirley to Ernesto. Harvey even walked Shirley down the aisle at their wedding.
Meanwhile, Williams and his side chick Ericka King, 48, were charged with operating a credit repair scam. As SandraRose reports, King is out on bond and awaiting trial.
In audio recordings of phone calls between Strawberry and her husband, she reveals police seized her truck outside a hair salon in Roswell, Georgia.
“What truck?” Williams asked her, as reported by SandraRose.com.
“What do you mean what truck?” she responded.
“Why would they do that?” he said.
The truck was seized to pay restitution to Williams’ victims,” Strawberry explained.
“What kind of sh*t is that?” Williams said.
“The same officer that arrested you was there. Officer Fields, the little white lady,” she told Williams. “I guess they’ve been following me.”
According to Strawberry, Williams was set up by the officer. Police also seized her $200,000 wedding ring, she revealed.
