*Ring is offering a big reward for anyone who manages to catch an alien on their cameras.
The home surveillance doorbell company will reward $1 million to the person who captures proof of alien life on a Ring device, Complex reports.
“Lure in extraterrestrials by decorating your front porch and lawn with alien-inspired décor and impressive high-tech gear. Our intergalactic neighbors are drawn to colorful lights, fascinating gadgets, and homeowners with approachable costumes complete with antennas and goggles,” according to Ring’s website.
According to Ring, video submissions are currently being accepted until Nov. 3, when the competition ends. The winner will receive $50,000 in yearly installments for two decades.
“Whether it’s a video of an Extraterrestrial walking (or flying?) up your driveway and asking for directions, or an unidentifiable lifeform exhibiting unusual and extraordinary behavior in your backyard — submit your best footage!” Ring’s statement said.
Homeowners with the Ring Video Doorbell can send an automatic message to the aliens if they press the doorbell.
Participants who submit their best “creative interpretations of the alien sightings” will receive the “Out of this World” prize of a $500 Amazon gift card.
“If you don’t locate any real Extraterrestrials, don’t worry: you can still enter to win an ‘Out of this World’ prize!” the rules say. “To enter, simply capture and submit your most creative interpretation of an Extraterrestrial sighting on your Ring device, and you will be in the running among your earthling peers to win a $500 Amazon gift card.”
Per Complex, judges are urging alien costumes to include, “accessories, homemade spacecrafts and Extraterrestrial-inspired communication with your Ring device.”
