*Webbies, y’all will have to put some respeck on our Social Heat name. Check out the hot stories we’re throwing at you. Nelly Furtado jumped on IG with Timbaland while the two were in the studio; it’s been a long time-they shouldn’t have left us without a dope beat to step to, and we fully expect something good to come out of the kitchen. Nelly also spoke on their supposed rift, which seemed more of a creative debate than beef. Anywho, we’re happy to see these two artists linking up!

IG influencer Shavon posted a video of her enjoying a moment at Usher‘s concert, and the “U Got It Bad” vocalist allowed her to squish his face and scream in his ears as he stood like a wax figure so that she could bask in the moment of meeting him. She wrote, “I waited 33 years for this moment. And this is how my time to shine went !! ???????????????? the girl in me wouldn’t give him a chance to sing. Lmfao !!” Usher is not new to this; he’s true to this, lol! He can snatch edges without making a move. But for real, peep his expression, pure comedy gold!

Star of Netflix’s film “They Cloned Tyrone,” John Boyega covers Level magazine and shares the cover with producer extraordinaire Charles D. King (@iamcharlesdking), CEO/Founder of MACRO, and Juel Taylor, the director and screenwriter. John said he prepared for the role by “[I would] walk from one end of my room to the other and [my sister] would shout different character names. I’d switch up the walk each time, until it was like second nature.” To be honest, the way our anxiety is set up, we’re going to stream it but not necessarily be in the room when it’s on our TV because we not ready to have our emotions shook right now and for conspiracy theories to dance on our brain cells. But we do support Black films, so you guys and gals make you help our brotha’ Johnny Boy and his crew become number on Netflix’s rating scale.

Jason Weaver celebrated his 44th birthday by posting a picture of himself in a peacock rattan throne chair fit for an African monarch (a reference to Huey P. Newton famous picture signifying “Black empowerment, liberation, and kinship“) and wrote a caption the length of an epistle, “I just wanna take a second this morning to give praise and thanks to my Heavenly Father, as well as my Lord/Savior Jesus Christ for waking me up this morning on my birthday. Wow, time flies! Man, I’m so blessed to be ALIVE, HEALTHY and PRESENT in THIS chapter of my life right now. This journey so far has been absolutely amazing, and there’s still hopefully more to come, God willing. ???????????? I’m so GRATEFUL for all of the blessings that I’ve received from God, as well as all of the LOVE/SUPPORT from my family, my close/dear friends, and ALL OF Y’ALL out there too! I can’t fully express into words just how truly appreciative I am for EVERYONE and EVERYTHING, but please know that I really am!!” Hop over and read the rest of his posts on his IG page. We can’t be mad at him for celebrating another year around the sun; each year is a blessing! Happy birthday, King!
