*Acclaimed hip-hop producer and recording artist Maejor explores the intersection of sound, psychedelics, and wellness in a new podcast series called “Psychedelic Frequency” from Audible.
According to the news release, the 10-episode series unpacks “the history of psychedelic therapy” with experts on “MDMA, Ketamine, Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, LSD, and DMT,” per the news release.
Maejor hosts the series with Natalie Ginsberg from the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). They visited “Big Sur’s Esalen Institute for a holotropic breath workshop, Berlin’s psychedelic underground, a Los Angeles ketamine clinic, and Guatemala, where doctors are treating opioid dependency with the powerful hallucinogen, Ibogaine,” the release states.
Maejor is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer on a global mission to heal through music. This series is a “dense and deeply personal exploration of the psychedelic experience,” serving up the perspective of recording artists who had life-altering experiences. The special guests include Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Belly, Nathaniel Ratliff, Dead and Company bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Coldplay producer Jon Hopkins.
