Bow Wow spoke with Bryhana Monegain of Los Angeles radio station Power 106 during the BET Awards, and the rapper and actor aired his thoughts on the current state of hip-hop music and why no hip-hop singles or albums have charted in 2023, according to Urban Hollywood 411. “Stop putting out trash ass music,” he fired. “Everything sound alike, everything repetitive, same tempo. I think people are starting to get tired of it; that’s why you don’t see nothing charting,” he added, stating facts. “Everything sounds the same, every girl wants to get a bag, get a ri h ni–a… it’s time to shake the game up and get it back to what it needs to get back to, and that’s just the real essence of artistry and real good music that’s gone last forever.”
Nicki Minaj jumped on her IG live to dialogue with Stevie J and JT. She asked Stebie (in Joseline’s accent) if he was married; check out his suspect response. The two also discussed how he and Mariah Carey developed the hook for her hit “Breakdown.”
