Handbag Gifted to Jennifer Hudson Found at Thrift Store, Designer Speaks Out | Video

*A luxury bag gifted to Jennifer Hudson by an up-and-coming Black designer was found in a thrift store. Now the superstar is catching heat for seemingly discarding it, TMZ reports. 

Sonique Saturday is the creator of the handbag and she is calling on Hudson’s fans to stop attacking this singer online. Saturday spoke to the outlet recently and said critics are taking a viral video out of context. The clip shows a shopper with one of the designer’s bags at a thrift store. Inside was a special note written for JHud. According to Saturday, the bag is from 2014 and Hudson’s team paid for it.

As TMZ reports, Saturday isn’t sure if Hudon ever received the gift or how it ended up at a thrift shop. However, she’s using this viral moment to highlight Black-owned businesses.
