*Rapper Travis Scott was recently spotted with “racist” cop Jamie McBride, who is also accused of being a neo-Nazi.
McBride is the leader of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the union that represents members of the LAPD. According to All Hip Hop, his daughters, Jacqueline and Toni, are also cops and this family of law enforcement officers has been involved in shootings of Black or Brown people.
In 2018, McBride posted a video on Facebook showing LAPD officers chasing down Black and Latinos. The suspects are body-slammed by officers and stunned with Tasers. Multiple corpses are shown in the clip. As the Los Angeles Times reports, in the video, officers also are seen breaking up a fight and tending to wounded citizens. McBride’s labeled the video: “That good ol days.”
Scott has seemingly hired McBride as his head security — and fans of the rapper are outraged but not entirely surprised.

On Twitter, one user said of Scott, “THIS is who is he is? Where is the surprise. So is Kanye. At the core of who they are Kanye West and Travis Scott hate Black people. They are antiBlack. Y’all need to get over it and watch your back. Every skin folk ain’t your kin folk.”
Another added, “Not a great look to higher a killer cop to protect you.”

Several tweets noted that Scott has “no moral compass,” so hiring a “racist” white cop to protect him “isn’t surprising.”
“With his relationship with the Kardashians/Jenners and the way he did the robot while watching people die at Astroworld, I’m pretty sure this is just what’s expected,” another person tweeted.
“Dude watched his fans screaming for help get crowd rushed, and did nothing, but pause, watch, and continue on as if it was nothing,” one Twitter user wrote.
