*Jada Pinkett Smith claims she and Will Smith don’t have a prenuptial agreement.
During the recent press run for her new book, “Worthy,” Pinkett Smith revealed she and Will have been separated since 2016, but have no plans to divorce. The actress shared in a new interview with Parade that she and Smith decided not to sign a prenup when they wed in 1997 because they never saw divorce as an option.
Prior to tying the knot, the Smiths told each other, “‘No matter what, we’re going to figure it out and that’s why we don’t need a prenup, because I’m making a promise that divorce won’t be necessary, that we will figure this out.’”
According to Page Six, Jada has a net worth of $50 million, while Smith is worth $350 million.
“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,” Pinkett Smith told “Today” co-anchor Hoda Kotb in a recent NBC interview. “We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”

Will Smith trolled fans on Tuesday when he took to his Instagram with a video response to Jada’s bombshell memoir about their marriage. In the video captioned “OFFICIAL STATEMENT,” the Oscar-winning actor is seen sitting in a chair and as he begins to talk, he fakes a sneeze that blasts the camera into outer space.
As Complex reports, fans believe he was channeling a scene from the 2004 film “I, Robot” where Smith said he’s “allergic to bullshit” after faking a sneeze. Watch the IG embed above.
Meanwhile, we reported previously that Pinkett Smith revealed in her new memoir that Chris Rock asked her on a date prior amid media reports claiming that she and Smith were set to divorce.
“I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce,” Pinkett Smith said, per THR. “And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?’”
She continued, “I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors.’ He was appalled. And he profusely apologized, and that was that.”
