*A Flordia man who previously made headlines for impersonating a doctor when he was a teenager has been sentenced for his 2020 grand theft and fraud case.
We reported previously that Malachi Love-Robinson, also known as “Dr. Love,” made national headlines in 2016 after being busted for running a fake gynecology center. A year later he was arrested again for car fraud. Love-Robinson capped off 2020 with yet another arrest on charges of grand theft and fraud.
Love-Robinson, now 25, was working as a salesman for a shipping broker when he allegedly stole from his employer in early 2020 by rerouting payments totaling $10,129.81 from the business account to his personal one, according to the Delray Beach Police Department.
According to a probable cause affidavit, obtained by CNN, Love-Robinson’s former employer showed police screenshots of text conversations where Love-Robinson allegedly stated he “f***ed himself” and that he was “doing everything [he] can to make it right.”

“I don’t want to go to jail,” another text message said. Love-Robinson later told his employer he had refunded the money, but the employer told police no money was ever received, the affidavit said.
This week, Love-Robinson pleaded guilty and, according to NBC News, was sentenced to two years and four months.
Love-Robinson was jailed in 2019 after pretending to be a doctor and defrauding an elderly “patient” out of $35,000. When he was 17, he posed as a gynecologist at St. Mary’s Medical Center Campus in West Palm Beach. Check out the video report about him via the YouTube clip above.
