*Doja Cat and her fans are sparring on social media because the music star refuses to tell them she loves them.

As Complex reports, in now-deleted posts, Dojo made clear she is done making “marketable” and “palatable” music.

“My life, my rules, my style, my attitude,” she wrote. When a user responded, “I wanna hear you say (I do love you guys) as usual you say to your fans,” Doja replied, “I don’t though cuz I don’t even know yall.”

Another fan clapped back and called the artist a “high school drop out” and noted, “We have supported you through thick and thin. Mind you, you’d be nothing without us.”

“Nobody forced you,” Doja replied, Complex reports. “Idk why you’re talking to me like you’re my mother bitch you sound like a crazy person.”

She also urged them to stop calling themselves “kittenz” and “get a job.”

“My fans don’t name themselves shit,” Doja Cat wrote on Threads. “If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or fucking ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”

One person pointed out that “kittenz” is the name Doja gave her fans, and she replied, “When i was an alcoholic teen.”

When asked what fans should call themselves, Doja said, “Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late.”

Several Doja Cat fan accounts went dark in response to her message, and she has reportedly lost 237,758 followers on Instagram in 24 hours, according to CasinoAlpha.com.

One Twitter user responded, “We should applaud Doja Cat for fighting back against the para-social behavior so prevalent nowadays, even when it comes with a personal cost for herself.”

In a news release, Tudor Turiceanu, Chief Editor of CasinoAlpha.com, commented on Doja losing nearly 300,000 followers in 30 days due to her controversial social media ramblings: “These antics may be part of a rollout for Doja Cat’s new album and tour. Recently, the rapper teased an upcoming single from her new project, “Paint the Town Red” by changing artwork for her previous projects to red on streaming services. Despite the antics and losing followers, Google searches for Doja Cat have increased worldwide by 82% just after the tweets were sent out.”

“It will be interesting to see whether Doja’s harsh approach to her fans will impact Doja’s upcoming nationwide tour and album release, with many fans turning their backs on the rapper altogether, as highlighted by her loss in followers.”
