*Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ partnership with Harlem’s Capital Preparatory Schools has ended amid his controversial legal drama.

The disgraced hip-hop icon helped launch the school in 2016 and gave a $1 million donation in 2021 for its Bronx location, according to The Source

Dr. Steve Perry, Founder and Head of Schools, released a statement on November 28 regarding Diddy’s departure.

“Following a comprehensive evaluation, a decision has been made to end the partnership between Capital Preparatory Schools and  Sean Combs,” the statement said, per Ice Cream Convos.

“While this decision was not made lightly, we firmly believe it is in the best interest of our organization’s health and future,” Perry continued.

The Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School serves students in 6th and 7th grade. According to Ice Cream Convos, Combs’ name has been scrubbed from the official website.

The news of his departure comes amid reports that Combs stepped down as chairman of the Revolt network to prevent his personal life from distracting from the company’s mission and success, according to TMZ.

The move comes over a week after Diddy settled a $30 million lawsuit with his ex, Cassie Ventura, who accused him of rape, physical abuse and sex trafficking. Details of the settlement have not been revealed.

Diddy’s attorney, Ben Brafman, said his client “vehemently denies” Cassie’s allegations.

“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best,” Brafman stated.

Combs has been hit with two more sexual assault lawsuits, one involving singer Aaron Hall.
