As an actor and as a writer, I was inspired by Sidney Poitier, Gregory Hines, and Mr. Denzel Washington. I study any actor who moves me.”
Meryl Streep, Angela Bassett, and Viola Davis also made the list of those who inspired Christian Keyes. The actor and balladeer is a familiar face from many movies and TV shows. Christian has 25 films to his credit and more than 130 hours of episodic TV. While we may have to wait to learn of his latest lineup as an actor, Mr. Keyes proudly holds the position of writer and creator of “All The Queen’s” Men on BET+. It’s based on his first novel titled Ladies Night.
Music is the new focal point for the many facets of Christian Keyes. His follow-up singles are “So Sweet,” “Get Involved,” and the scintillating “Cook My Dinner Naked.” Ahem, speaking of naked, a blushing Jazzy Rita had the nerve to mention to Mr. Keyes that he adoringly bore nearly all of his physique on a popular TV show in a sizzling hot love scene. Christian Keyes to EURweb.com: “At the end of the day, if I’m playing a husband and I’m coming home to my wife, and haven’t seen her in a week, I’ve been out of town working my government job, or whatever the character’s facts are, whatever their truths are, when he gets home, he wants to have some private time with the wife. So, we make it as real as possible, within reason. We make it realistic looking intentionally and emotionally true. And then we just have fun with it. At the end of the day when we cut, we get dressed, we high five like, ‘Oh, yeah, we did that!’ And then we get out of it.”
