*Baron Jay Littleton Jr. is humbled to be among the executive producers for the docuseries, Rebuilding Black Wall Street.” It is a notable stride towards revisiting and restoring a monumental chapter of American history.

This compelling six-part project premiered September 29, 2023, on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).  It delves into the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Greenwood District, rekindling the spirit of Black Wall Street that was tragically quelled during the 1921 Tulsa Massacre.

A century later, the scars of the past resurface, urging a collective endeavor to restore and honor the legacy of Greenwood.

The docuseries is an initiative of Sunwise Media, steered by its visionary CEO, Ri-Karlo Handy. He and his dedicated team entrusted Baron Jay Littleton Jr. to join the executive producer’s team.

Baron expresses heartfelt gratitude towards Sunwise Media and Ri-Karlo Handy for this opportunity, which he describes as a full-circle moment in his journey.

Three years ago, Baron made a significant gesture by purchasing land in Oklahoma, paying homage to the thriving enterprises that were once nurtured on those grounds before they were unjustly snatched away.

This act of reverence reflects Baron’s profound connection to the Greenwood District and the broader narrative of Black entrepreneurship and resilience.

The collaboration extends to the charismatic host Morris Chestnut.  This marks a nostalgic reunion for Baron who reminisced about his time as a stand-in for Morris Chestnut 15 years ago on various film projects.

To reunite on a project of such historical and cultural significance epitomizes the intertwined destinies and shared commitment as they pay homage to the Greenwood District’s enduring legacy.

“Rebuilding Black Wall Street” is more than a docuseries, it’s a monumental narrative chronicling the ongoing reconstruction efforts in Greenwood.   It aims to restore the district to its former glory. As a renovation docuseries, it juxtaposes the past with the present, offering a lens through which audiences can appreciate the journey of restoration and the indomitable spirit of the Black community in Tulsa.

Baron Jay Littleton Jr.’s role as an Executive Producer transcends mere titles, it embodies his earnest endeavor to honor the past, engage with the present, and contribute to a future where the legacy of Black Wall Street is celebrated and continued.  He is honored to stand among the other producers and the team who have taken these steps toward honoring a rich legacy and fostering a narrative of resilience and restoration.
