People don’t understand sometimes you just want to shop in peace, if she stops and takes one picture people will just keep following her and won’t leave us alone.” We had the chance to see Simone at a casual event, and she didn’t want her picture taken. We understood how intrusive it must feel to be constantly gawked at and didn’t press. Some people need to work on their entitlement issues.

Social media hotep Tariq Nasheed is cold-blooded and was utterly wrong for posting a picture of the late Barbara Walters with the caption, “#RestinPeace to Dianne Feinstein.. ????????????????????️????️????️ #GoneTooSoon.” However, his point was made considering so many White-owned media outlets don’t take the time nor give the respect to ensure they have the correct name when writing about a Black person, alive or dead. We need y’all to do better, like hire more BIPOC journalists; let’s start there.
