*At this point, we don’t know why, but an armed woman in Mississippi decided that she was gonna hold a Walmart employee hostage at gunpoint. Unfortunately, for her, it ended with police racing to the scene and taking lethal action.
The crazy scenario went down Wednesday evening (12/21/22) at a Walmart in Richland, MS. As you can see in the video below from inside the store, a woman holding a gun in one hand and grabbing hold of a Walmart employee with the other.
By the look on her face, the female Walmart worker was terrified as she was ordered around the store by the woman with the gun.
You already know how it ended, but police say they responded to a report of a hostage situation and an officer ended up shooting and killing the suspect who still has not been identified as of this report.

No one else was hurt in the incident, according to authorities and now the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is on the case.
As we said up top, it’s unclear why the woman took a Walmart employee hostage … but cops say they were told the suspect walked into the store with a gun and demanded news crews show up.
Witnesses told local TV news station WAPT they were ordered outside the busy Walmart before hearing gunshots.
It’s also worth noting that the incident occurred nearly a month after the mass shooting in Virginia that left six Walmart workers dead.
