*R. Kelly’s girlfriend Joycelyn Savage recently gave birth to a baby girl that she claims she sired with the incarcerated singer. But her father alleges she was never pregnant with Kelly’s baby.
“Rest assured, that’s not my granddaughter, and rest assured Joycelyn is not pregnant,” Timothy Savage said in a video shared on Instagram.
We reported previously that Joyceln announced the birth of the child in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
“My baby girl Ava when you were born, my whole world shined so bright. I knew that it was no longer about me anymore it was about us. Though the world is cold, I promise to always protect you. I am so happy to be your mother & you bring me so much joy. 12.08.22,” the caption read.

Savage, 26, revealed in August that she was expecting a child with the singer, we previously reported. Savage spilled the tea in her new tell-all memoir, “Love and Joy of Robert.” In one of the excerpts from the 11-page-long book, Savage writes that she found out about the joyful news after Kelly sent her an engagement ring to her home shortly after being sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking and racketeering.
Savage recalled experiencing morning sickness, which she initially suspected were Covid-related symptoms. But a pregnancy test later determined that she had a bun in the oven, which she described as the “most amazing news.”
“It was a happy day but an incomplete time in my life. Today I am grateful to God for giving me the most precious gift. Robert is extremely excited about the news that I am having a baby and feels sad that Robert will not be able to be here with us,” Savage writes in the memoir.
Kelly’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, initially denied her pregnancy claims.
“There is no truth to reports that Joy is releasing a tell-all memoir and she is certainly not pregnant with R Kelly’s child. People are just insane. Carry on,” Bonjean tweeted, as reported by MadameNoire.
Kelly has been locked up for over a year so it remains unclear how was the child conceived.
Joycelyn’s father claims his daughter has not given birth — period.
“My daughter Joycelyn is not pregnant,” he said on Instagram Live. “This is 100% accurate. Rest assured. I am investigating this to the fullest, and other people are too,” he added.
