*About 50 inmates inside Cell House C of the Lansing Correctional Facility in Kansas City, Kansas began rioting Thursday, destroying property as prison officials monitored them through video and on-site until it died down.
The corrections department reported that 14 staff members and 12 inmates have tested positive for the virus.
The man filming the rampage made comments appearing to note a lack of concern among staff members for their health amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Most of the inmates captured on video were wearing masks.
Staff members were able to leave the cell house and there were no reports of injuries.
