*Kim Kardashian is speaking out about her cultural appropriation controversy, after being accused of rocking blackface for her December shoot for 7 Hollywood Magazine, where her skin tone appears much darker.
Kardashian previously claimed Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor was the inspiration behind the shoot but others accused the former porn star of trying to emulate late actress Diahann Carroll.
Comedian Amanda Seales posted a video ripping Kim for using “blackface” to garner attention and when hit with backlash, she then blames the “bronzer.”

However, Kim recently flipped the script on the narrative by now claiming the real inspiration behind her vampy photoshoot was Italian actress Sophia Loren.
She posted a photo from the shoot to her Instagram Story with the caption: “Channeling Sophia Loren art direction 2manfredthierrymugler DEC 19, 2019”

In related news, Kardashian recently posted a series of photos on her Instagram page showing her and daughter North West in the Oval Office from one of her visits to the White House last year.
In one pic, 6-year-old North is standing on the presidential seal in the office. Another snap shows mom and daughter behind the president’s desk and one with them posed with grandmother Mary-Jo Campbell, under a portrait of George Washington.
Kardashian made several visits to the White House last year to lobby Trump on criminal justice reform.
